I know I'm not pregnant and I also haven't had a period since the birth which was almost 9 weeks ago. I'm also breastfeefing (pumping) but i let it go 5-6 hours between pumps (I'm told bf is only more effective as birth control if you feed every 3 hours or so).. Anyway I wouldn't worry too much based on the absence of a period.

EFB is 98% in suppressing ovulation so the chance of you being pregnant are pretty slim. But I would take a test in a few weeks just to be sure.

My grandmother had 11 children. She swore that breastfeeding was her birth control. All 11 of her chilren are exactly 1yr and 11 months apart. She would breast feed each child for the first year and within a month of stopping she would be prego, so ten months later there was another chlid. My ob is putting the iud in at my 6 weeks, and said just to be sure I'm not prego by then not to have sex...haha easy for him to say. He says breastfeeding isnt 100% effective.

I hope you get the result you are wanting!

if it's been 2 weeks since you had sex, I would test - just to get it out of the way & stop yourself stressing out...... good luck ((hugs))

Remember the Hcg stays in your system from the last pregnancy for a while I just don't remember how long.

4/6 weeks on the previous pregnancy hormones, on average. Sometimes longer, but generally after six weeks a positive pregnancy test means you're pregnant again.

I tested 2 weeks after having Ava(for fun)and it was negative.I know this is different in everyone.I would just test again in 2 days and if it's darker then I'd say pregnant.GL
