He's a pro, he's getting really good at hopping along. he can get to the top of the cat station already, but gets annoyed when Dexter wants to race to be top cat.

Josie, that is totally what i'm realizing, It was so awful and heartbreaking to me i kept thinking about it as if adrian or i had lost a leg we would have not been the same but a few days later and it's already back to normal... jumping about on and off furniture ect. he was on lots of painkillers and antibiotics but they're done in a few days and stitches out tues... as soon as the hair grows back i think i'll feel less uncomfortable lolol

I know it's terrible but animals all drugged up absolutely crack me up. After Maya got spade I was cracking up because she couldn't function and was completely wasted. Hops (cat) was soooo unbalanced on his drugs I had to chase him around the house because I was scared he would fall down the stairs.
I'm glad he is adjusting so well! It looks like they did a really good job with the amputation--I mean no stump or anything so it will be more comfortable. DId they actually take the hip joint out? I suppose it's hard to tell with the stitches and no hair.

yeah they took out his hip and leg and then readjusted his other hip so his back leg is more... centered. So it's easier for him to hop lol.
