I've started collecting notebooks, one for each child. In them I plan on writing things specifically for them. Things that when they are older I want them to know about their childhoods, things I want them to be able to remember, stuff I want them to know about life in general. Sometimes it's the same little tidbit for all 3 children, sometimes it's something more age or gender specific.

If you could write down some advice for your little one and save it for when they are older, what would you want them to know??

that's a great idea.....I want my kids to know it is ok to be different, take risks, march to the beat of their own drum, to stand up for the things they know are right and not be afraid and to have the confidence to do those things. That is only one of many, many things I want them to know. If I were to write them all out here I would have a book

I have the same views as Kim, i want them to know that things are in life are hard, but that's life and we all pull through! And to know that no matter how old they are, i'm always going to be there and they will always be my babies.

I want Daphne to know how life-changing she is. What a great child she is and how everything about her is amazing and unique. I also agree with Kim's response about taking risks and marching to the beat of her own drum etc. I have so many things that I want Daphne to know about already, I have written most of them down but I will probably have an encyclopedia sized collection by the time she's a teen. LOL

That's such a great idea!! I want Caleb to know that every person deserves dignity and love and I want him to recognize this for himself and for others. There's so much I would probably have trouble. I have thought about starting an email account for him to email him notes, (I saw it on a commercial LOL) because I lose all my notebooks, even though I'm obsessed with them LOL
