How is potty training going for Nattie??
I remember you said that when she started day care that they were going to be working on potty training. Just curious how it is going?
Anyone else starting to think about potty training or seeing their little one show signs of readiness?

not really on my radar yet, Sam does now occasionally want to sit on the potty but he has yet to actually go in it. I don't think he is close to ready at this point. We started training Syd around 2 but she wasn't completely trained until almost 3 I just went with it and followed her lead and it was pretty stress free so I will do the same with Sam, if he reaches age 3 with no interest I may push the issue a bit. at our daycare they don't start doing potty time until 2yrs old, they take them at regular intervals, etc but do not actively try to train until around age 2 1/2 - 3, prior to the preschool transition.

Alicia does point and grunt at her diaper when she wants to go poop, so a few times I have put her on the potty and she went on it, the first time she pooped in it I celebrated like a freak THEN took her off the potty and she pee'ed all of the floor LOL I honestly think if I took the time and worked with her she would learn pretty quickly but I haven't made the effort yet.

That's what Noelle has been doing too. And she will wiggle around when her diaper is wet or poopy and needs to be changed - you can tell that she is uncomfortable. She will sit, but hasn't put two and two together yet. We had her in panties the other night because she has a horrible rash (again) and she freaked when she peed herself.
What brought this whole thing to mind is her almost constant rash - we get it cleared up and then she poops or pees and it's right back to bright red again. We've tried just about everything we can think of, we seriously have a box of lotions and potions at her changing table. Even cloth diapers don't seem to help Part of me wishes she would just potty train so her sore tushy would go away, and the other part knows it's going to be awhile before she is really ready.

Elias occasionally asks to sit on the toilet, and usually will pee when he does, but he doesn't have real interest yet. We'll start pushing it if he hits 3 and isn't toilet trained, but for now he's just not even close to ready.

The only interest James has in the toilet is the splash it makes when he throws things in it. Potty training is still a long time away for us.

Hahahahahaa. Totally not on my radar. I was convinced DS would potty train early, and after trying to force it for way too long, I finally figured out it'd happen when he was ready ... I'm not even pondering it with Emily till she shows signs of interest.

Christian will occassionally tell me "Poop" when he needs to go and I get him on the toilet. It's not every time or every day, but I still appreciate less poopy diapers.

If you ask Holly if she needs to poop she'll squat down and make grunting sounds until she's gotten a laugh out of everyone. That's where we are and probably where we'll remain for the next good while. Though I must admit, I fantasize that every pack of diapers I buy will be my last.

Sarah likes to play in the toilet also. She had lately been letting me know when she poops by pointing to her diaper and whispering poo poo. Not exactly why she is whispering but its cute.

not even close to being ready here! It's not even on my radar, esp. with another baby coming in a few months. I'm not really going to push the issue until I see definite signs, probably closer to 2.5yrs.

Not even close here. We started DD at about 18 months, but I don't think Luke is at all ready for it. Maybe in a few months.

she is doing ok. she knows she is supposed to pee on the potty ad every time we go into the bathroom (even if I need to use the bathroom) she sits on her potty and makes a peeing sound with her mouth - lol. the biggest problem I have with her is she holds her pee almost all day and then pees a ton at night. the other night when she was sick she woke up wet at 8am - I changed her then (obviously) then she did not pee in the toliet or her pants until 5pm, and then her pants were hardly wet so I put a diaper on her and off to the er we went thinking she must be dehydrated and while we were waiting in the er for 3 hours she soaked through 4 diapers (no iv's or anything we were just in the waiting room) at that point I knew she wasnt dehydrated so we just left since we hadnt been seen yet. then since she has been sick I have been putting her in diapers for daycare becasue she has had dirrhea from the antibotics and i put a diaper on her in the morning - they check her at daycare evey two hours but dont change her unless it is needed and she is only going through 2 diapers at daycare at most. but then between her bath at 6 pm and bed at 8 she will go through 3 and then soak through everything at night while she is sleeping.
