...is non-existent here these days. Ben will NOT have anything to do with a manicure. It doesn't matter if he was sitting motionless before I hold his hand to clip his nails, he pulls it away like I'm trying to burn him and starts sobbing if I force-hold his hand. Even then, he's moving around just enough that I can't cut. I don't know what to do! One of my daughters was this way, and I cut her nails when she was sleeping, but Ben wakes up when I do this.

How is it that a baby is stronger than me??

Ben, the littlest hulk!

Whenever I need to do something to Holly that really ticks her off (cut her bangs, put her in pigtails), I put her in her highchair and cue up a really distracting youtube video. Don't know if that will work for you guys though.

I hold Sarah on my lap and try to have either sister or dad distract her. Most of the time this works. She is a fighter though too.

Cam fights us too. I get DH to read him a book and while he is in Dh's lap I clip one hand then run over to the other side to clip the other hand. It's really a chore to get them clipped.

Sorry no help on this one. Noelle sits pretty quiet for a nail trim. We do them regularly each week so she is used to it now I think.

DH does it and so far, he's still stronger than James. If he gets really upset, DD and I will distract him.

I sing to him and he calms down. Usually the "Where is Thumbkin" song, because there are lots of verses and I can sing the finger I'm clipping. For his toes, I find it easier to wear him on my back and clip his toenails.
