good morning.....wah I will leave it at that in an attempt to not whine, cry or complain :/
Jennifer we have on of those monkey backpack leashes, I bought it when Sydney was little for trips to the zoo and other crowded places, I have never actually used it though, she was just not a runner type of kid and Sam is still pretty content to sit in the stroller but for Disney on Spring Break I think I would dust it off for him!
it's Wed, week 1/2 way over, that's gotta be a good thing I guess.
oh and just to update on my mom, her surgery is next Wed, we won't officially know what stage her cancer is in until then but she saw the oncologist yesterday who assured her that the type of cancer she has is highly treatable, even when in it's advanced stages. So hey, we will take that, treatable is good. Still hoping it is early stage so she doesn't need chemo but if she does she does and we will continue to stay positive.

That';s really encouraging news, Kim. How's is your mom dealing with all this?
You can whine or cry or complain here, that's what we're here for!

thanks I hate complaining it seems counterproductive but sometimes it feels so good
my mom is ok, she is very much a "don't worry about me" kinda person, typical mom lol...she seemed much more at ease after seeing the dr yesterday, she really liked him, he spent nearly 2 hrs with her explaining everything and answering all her questions, she said he is kind and compassionate and I think she needed that. She is looking forward to the surgery and getting the bulk of whatever is there out, I mean really when someone says "you have a cancerous mass" you just want it OUT! ASAP! it bothers me that I am not close to her and can't go to her appointments with her, with work and kids it is just hard for me to get there, we were going to go this weekend but with my germy kids we decided it might be best if we didn't go and risk her getting sick before the surgery. So IDK, that part sucks, I want to be there but right now it is better for me to stay home and offer support from here.

Kim, it sounds like your mom really lucked out with her doctor. It is always comforting to have someone who will take the time to speak with you and answer all your questions. Treatable is a good thing to hear. Hopefully the surgery is enough though. It's too bad you can't be there with her after the surgery, but with germy kids it's probably for the best.

More hugs to Kim and her Mom! ((hugs))
Jennifer, I've done the monkey backpack leash thing with Noelle. I encourage hand holding as well, but a mommy only has so many hands sometimes. I did find that moving the leash part from the back where it really does seem more like a leash to the side where it is more conducive to hand holding and learning to stay close helps some.
And um, *cough* Leanne....

OMG Snowflakesparkles (sorry, still don't know everyone's names) It really should be a rule that your name has to be in your siggy...oh wait...mine isn't. LOL. Is that your dog...it is possibly one of the cutest dogs I have EVER seen.

Awe, thanks guys! I'm keeping everything in sight crossed that this is going to stick. So far, I really think things are looking good and I feel way more "pregnant" than I did with the last 4. It feels more like it did with Akadia, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Hoping to get in for some betas soon. Just can't seem to get anyone to call me back at the OB office. They are swamped and I keep leaving messages. Hate being a nag...
Kim - I'll keep your mother in my prayers!
