Kim, I am so glad you guys had a nice weekend with your Mom. What day does she start treatment? I can't imagine having that big mountain looming ahead and having to psych yourself up for it. You know we are here for you in our own little JM way for all the virtual hugs and cheer leading and support you could ever want. Go team Kim!!!

thanks guys.....the plan right now is for her to get her port placed on Thursday and start her first round of chemo early next week. She still has to get a colonoscopy tomorrow because they need to make sure it hasn't invaded her colon as well, it is common for advanced uterine cancer to also effect the colon so quite honestly I am prepared for it, we seem to keep getting bad news so it just wouldn't surprise me. That being said even if it has I don't think that will change the treatment plan too much. We will have to wait and see. She has no symptoms that it has but then again she hasn't really had much in the way of symptoms anyway, only abnormal gyn bleeding, she has no pain, no weight loss, not anything you would think one would have with advanced cancer. Anyway that's the plan right now. I appreciate you love and support ladies, this is certainly going to be one of the hardest things I have had to deal with to date, being a grown up certainly is hard sometimes

on a positive note the sun is shining, it feels like a spring morning and it's only Feb. I think I will put my coat on and drink some coffee on my deck and let the sun hit my face, nothing like cancer to make you appreciate the little things in life....in other positive news the kids were super cooperative for a monday morning. that is a nice way to start the day and week.

It must be so hard to not feel sick but know that something isn't right and that you will feel sick soon f ing cancer.

We had a nice weekend here. I had two kid free evenings in a row so I feel fairly rejuvenated. The bad news is I got my dress for my friend's wedding and it fit fine in September and now IT WON'T ZIP! A month and a half to de-fat myself. Craps.

Today I have to run around like the last minute fool that I am to get all the documents needed for my college application. I went to school all over the universe so it's a little complicated and my deadline is LOOMING. I've got a lot of sweet talkin' to do today.

Dang, I have to drag the kids downtown, on public transit, to my old university to handle some bureaucracy in person. Adventure!

The extra fun part is that there is too much snow on the sidewalks to be able to take the umbrella stroller, I can`t take the snow-proof stroller on public transit...so Holly goes in the Ergo? Ha! We'll see how that goes. If everything falls apart my emergency plan is to hail a cab home.

Morning girls. I feel good this week! I dyed my hair, painted my nails and shaved my legs! My eyes are clear and I started working out.

I think I am also going to be adventurous and make a "quiet book" for Levi for his birthday. There are sooo many cute ideas. I just need to learn how to use a sewing machine.

Morning... or afternoon as the case may be.

We had a fairly quiet weekend. Looked at two houses. One was a total dump and the other would have had great potential if not for the crooked foundation. This house hunting business is hard work.

Oh, we are also in day 2 of potty training for Miss Noelle. Yesterday wasn't a dismal failure, but I wouldn't call it a total success either. She stayed totally dry through 2 naps, pottied one on the potty after her second nap (would have made it for nap #1 also if Daddy would have had her sit just 30 seconds longer). We are committed to hanging in there. She's showing lots of signs of readiness, and we are finding with her that if she trys something once she catches on, she is a pro quickly.

Oooh, potty training! I hope she's a pro for you quickly! I've only ever apartment hunted but I can imagine house hunting gets old just as fast.

My trip downtown with the kids was A PLEASURE. I'm not being sarcastic. The kids were awesome and fun and well behaved and made me look like the world's best mom. I love it when things work out like that. Plus the university had my diploma on hand, something I never bothered to pick up or care about, it was just days away from being shredded! Bad news is I'll have to go back in a couple of days to pick up my transcript, but not the end of the world. I'll probably also be sore tomorrow from lugging Holly around in the Ergo!

I can't imagine going anywhere by myself with two kids yet! Maybe in a few weeks...

Evan sleeps 19-21 hours/day at this point but I am still exhausted from having to feed him every 2-3 hours.

I made a new siggie. Gabriel hijacked a photo DH was trying to take of Evan, LOL

who-it-is - I hope potty training goes well...Rayanne is very indifferent about it...so she isn't very consistant with doing it...but I know she will get their eventually.

Kim - I am really sorry about the news about your mom. Like someone else said, it is good news that dr is optimistic that it can be beat, and that it may be a difficult fight, but a fight he/she is sure she can win, and that is a good thing. I will continue to keep your mom in my T & P, (as well as for you for strength to be a support to her when she needs it) Please continue to KUP

Rayanne has been saying new things constantly, and I live for Fridays and dread Mondays even more as I love my two days straight with my baby girl!!! SIGH, I envy all you SAHM! I didn't join the wine club this week, but perhaps next week.

And I totally dont envy you and your newborn, mine is almost 6 months and those newborn days are oh so fresh in my mind still because she still sleeps like one. grr

Michelle, I'm glad your adventure downtown with the two kids went well. I could never have done that. You're very brave. I think that Holly deserves her soother after behaving so well for you today.

Marci, our kids are at the best age right now. I love being home with him and watching him discover everything. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, but I agree it is a gift to get to spend all this time with them.

DD was home sick from school today. She watched TV ALL day. I felt like a bad mom, but she really had no energy to do anything else. She got up at one point in late morning and played for about 5 minutes and then went back to the couch. Fever is gone now though, so hopefully she is back at school tomorrow.
