DH was home with Rayanne today, and it was just nice to even talk to her on the phone today during the day, but then I miss her more. She is talking so much now...and the look in her eyes as she runs to the door when I get home...it's also very awesome. I guess Rayanne was such a great baby (she slept 5 hour shifts most nights from birth, and slept through the night at 2 month) but am totally enjoying the age now...so much fun, so busy, so much to say, and learning so much daily!
It's true that this is a great age for these guys. They are so cute with their new words and discovery and even when they are being naughty, they are still pretty cute.
Jennifer, don't feel bad about letting your dd watch tv all day, that's what you're supposed to do when your sick, right?
My kids have been running in circle and giggling for the last 10 minutes. I haven't even had my coffee yet. WHERE DOES THE ENERGY COME FROM???? Looks like I'll need to get them out of the house early today.
Yeah, I need a new game plan for the pacifier. Maybe I'll try again next week.
Have a great day, everybody!
Kim, is today the day your mom goes in for the colonoscopy? If so, I hope it goes well and that it finds nothing out of the ordinary. That does NOT sound like a fun thing to have to do

Morning, blah rotten morning, kids had ENT appointments to followup for their tubes, we wait there FOREVER! seriously they are always behind, the kids were growing grumpy, DH was also growing grumpy because he has the patience of a 5 yr old :/ good news is their tubes are doing fine, recheck 3 months....then sydney threw a fit that she wanted to "take her Belle book to school" I told her I would stop home and get it, 20 minutes later I found it under her bed in the storage cubby, no idea why it was there and not on the book shelf but whatevs. I feel like a ran a marathon this morning!
and yes my mom is having her colonoscopy this morning, she is actually there now, the dr will go over it with her so we should know something today, I am fearing the worst but hoping for the best, that is really all I can do right now. it's all very exhausting, I feel like a giant ball of nerves all the time anymore, it is no bueno *sigh*
Just got back from Kindermusik with James. He actually touched the scarves today, but still wanted me to hold him when it was time to dance and cried when the teacher pulled out the parachute. He's such a "funny" kid.
Nice Large rum and coke for you, Kim.
I have had a colonoscopy before. The worse part is the night before so hopefully today goes smoothly for your mom!
I am having girls dinner with some friends and our kids tonight! I actually made a baked spaghetti dinner that I saw on the front page of JM while logging on a few days ago. Hopefully it's good!
That drink looks pretty good. You deserve it, Kim!
I'm trying to abstain from booze and fun foods until I can fit back into that freaking bridesmaid's dress, so you might as well have one on my behalf too
that looks yummy! I so could use one, why is drinking while working not socially acceptable? it should be!
I just talked to my sister, my mom's colonoscopy was totally and completely normal, no sign of cancer at all there which is good!!!! finally some good news, we all needed a little bit of that!!! now she is getting her port placed on thursday and chemo will start next week, hopefully that goes smoothly....I keep telling her that while the chemo is infusing she needs to visualize it eating the cancer, she thinks I am nuts, whatever I may be but can't hurt to try right?
Yay for some good news! I totally agree with you, Kim. And I know that's what they tell at least the kids with cancer while they are getting treatment. Envision the chemo destroying all the bad cancer cells. Power of positive thinking I guess. The mind is powerful Tons more good vibes headed your Mama's way.
It's a busy morning here in the neighborhood. Lots of files to copy and returns to put together. Not sure how things are going on the potty front today - it seems we have hit that special point where Noelle can sit and sit and sit and not pee. But 30 seconds after she is up and moving around again, she chooses that moment to pee. Ugh. There is lots of laundry being done at my house today I think and we can't decide if we should throw in the towel and wait another few months before starting again or just move forward.

Lisa, maybe wait another day or two before throwing in the towel, just so that you can really feel like you gave it a fair shake? That's easy for me to say, I'm not the one dealing with the mess!
I'm cleaning my fridge out right now. Somehow I blinked and it turned incredibly, shockingly disgusting. I sure hope my Mom didn't look in there when she was here this weekend, I'd be pretty embarrassed.
Fridge cleaning is one think I am thankful for my brother for. Every week after grocery shopping, before he will put things away, he gives the refrigerator, the freezer and the pantry a good once over.
On the potty note, we are going to give it a few more days. As today progresses we are seeing that she is holding it. She woke up from her nap dry, SIL sat her down for about 10 minutes and nothing. Walked away to get her a pair of pants because it was chilly, she got up, took two steps and peed everywhere. We kind of think she has the idea just isn't sure how to make it happen - so we have some squirty bathtub fish that will be doing some pottying this afternoon to see if that helps any. Oh the fun of having a potty training toddler.

I had to go pick up DD from school because her best friend punched her in the nose and they couldn't get it to stop bleeding. Poor thing. The teacher said the girl has been having aggression issues for a few weeks now. Is it strange that a 5 year old girl is punching other kids? Leah wasn't the first one she did this to, although it was surprising to everyone because they are best friends. Leah isn't aggressive at all...
Well he doesn't like wipe the shelves or anything, but he does go through and throw out the old/spoiled things and tidy up. If something needs wiping down he will do that as well, but it's not like a total deep clean once a week. Should I ever get him on board with the whole "move to Canada" movement, I will surely send him your way once a week.
Jennifer, I'm sorry, that sucks! A pop in the nose is one (unacceptable) thing but solid enough to cause a nose bleed? Yikes! I wonder what's going on with that little girl Do you know her parents? Are they nose punchers?
