yay Holly, hopefully she continues her path to potty peeing!!
this IS a long labor but since it's her first I guess that's to be expected, she commented an hr or so ago on FB so she must not even be tooooo close cause would she be commenting if she were? blah come on baby I want to see you! it's exciting for them, they tried for a very long time to get preggo and this baby was conceived via IVF so he/she is long awaited and they are 2 of the best/kindest people I know, so nice when good things happen to good people! now if only this child would make an entrance into the world so we can see it!
I get to go to the beachhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! Just for a weekend (and not for 2 more weeks) but I am pretty excited about it! I didn't think I'd get to see the ocean this year. Best part, it's a free trip! My parents have friends who own a beach house and they take their camper and park in the driveway. Not sure if DH can come yet...but who cares lol. No jk, I'd like him to come but I'm going either way.
yay...I have to admit I don't love the ocean or the sand but for the sake of my kids I try to get there at least once even just for a day trip, we can be at the ocean in just over an hr so it isn't too bad and I can suck it up for one day
Oscar has a lump in his neck, about midway in the neck (not where I'd usually expect swollen glands or whatevs from a throat thing or something), on the left side, oval shaped about 2 inched long and 1 inch wide. He says it doesn't hurt. He has a bit of a cough. When he tilts his head you can kind of see it bulging but otherwise you can't see it. Cause for concern or just some sort of lymph node something something? Would you go to the doctor about this or just wait a few days or what?
Regards,
Mom who never takes her kids to the doctor and never knows when to.
Dr Kim says.....if he has a cough, cold type of deal I would say it's a swollen lymph node, they are all over your neck so I would keep an eye on it but not rush to the dr
disclaimer...I am no dr and I don't play one on tv either
Hopefully Holly continues with the potty peeing. Noelle has been great at it, then every one in awhile she will unleash the flood gates for no apparent reason. This morning it was in the bathroom all over DH's work shoes. She was literally standing right next to the toilet, but gave no indication she needed to go.
We booked out hotels for vacation at the end of August. One night at the hotel near the Amusement park we are going to then 3 nights at the cost. All split up with a few nights at my grandparent's houses so it should be a loooooong week, but a fun one for everyone. Sadly, it's not until the last week of August, so we have a bit to wait before we get to go.

Oooh, vacation planning is so much fun! Sounds like you'll be busy but better busy than bored
I think we've had enough of the underwear experiment for today and will try again tomorrow, if she's into it. She's definitely not miraculously self trained and there are only so many messes I'm willing to clean up before a lifetime of buying diapers looks appealing to me.
I swore to myself I'd finish dh's business taxes today (way late) but I just realized I'm missing a piece of info. Blah, I feel like they are never going to get done. So, I'm going to go take a nap.
I wish I could nap!!!!! I had every intention of taking one yesterday but decided to do the shopping I still had left from my panic attack. I actually laid down Saturday to nap too and looked at the 6 loads of laundry laying on my bedroom floor. Decided to fold and put that away instead.
My parents own rentals properties. Apparently one of their renters broke up, GF left the BF. Electric was in her name so she turned it off to piss him off. He left too since it is hot. My parents just found out, went to the house and found that they left all the food there for a few weeks to rot in the fridge. So my Dad called me and said he took the fridge, bleached it and wants to know if I want it? He said it may need cleaned again... Our fridge is not in good shape and he said this one is nice minus the rotten, spoiled food for a few weeks. I don't know if I want it or if it will gross me out. Hmmm...
not sure I would accept a funkified fridge, tough call lol
and my cousin is the proud papa to a baby GIRL!! I was right as usual ... baby Kaylen and mom are doing well! woot! I always find it strange when people name their children that since it is so close to my last name haha, anywho another girl in the family!
I guess it would depend on the condition of the refrig after it has been de-funked. Assuming most of the gross rotting food was in containers, and the smell comes out post-bleaching then I would probably take it. If for nothing other than an extra to keep in the garage. We couldn't live without our semi-broken spare refrig. in the garage though.
Congrats to your cousin, Kim. I sort of miss the teeny baby stage. Though not quite enough to have one, but just enough to wish someone in the family would be in the position to have one that I could snuggle on occasion. Sadly, it will be years (again Gods of karma I say YEARS) before my brother or BIL's are ready.
DH found a deal on a used treadmill - $30 for one that folds up. It's not programmable and doesn't have an auto incline, but for $30 I figure I can use it, see if it's actually something I will do (and not just think about) and upgrade if I really get into it. I have been contemplating a couch to 5k program for almost a month now but the time I have to exercise (either pre 6am or post 8pm) aren't great times to be running in my sidewalk-less neighborhood. We shall see if I can get into at least walking with the treadmill.

Yay, congrats on the new baby in the family, Kim I got confused for a sec when I saw the name, I'm with you on it being kind of strange because it's also your name. I guess they don't have the same last name as you, or at least I hope not!
Dh's business partner just called me with the missing bit of info for the taxes. Now I have no excuse not to do them tonight. Grumble. Ah well, it will be awesome to get it out of the way.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy, busy day and I already want to go hide under a rock because of it.
Treadmill totally is a lifesaver here for me because I would rarely get a chance to run otherwise. And it makes the few outdoor runs I get all the more enjoyable. You can totally do a couch to 5k. I will be your number 1 cheerleader!!! But it's true that you'll probably want to upgrade eventually if you really get into it.
I will count on you to kick my rear for not running as well, Michelle. I hate running... hate it. But I also hate math and I work in accounting so go figure. I am hoping that what I hate about running is that I get so winded and tired, so with time and practice that should go away. I hope, I hope.
Running is a mindset and if you take it slow and accept that it wont be easy you can really get into it. Set up the ipod with your favourite stuff and look at it as "me time", you alone with your thoughts, pushing through all the frustrations of the day. Your mind will be a clearer for it
Tuesday, scmoozday. Totally ready for it to be Friday. Is that too much to ask?
morning girls!! today is sorta like Friday since tomorrow is a holiday, will be nice to have a mid week break and we have zero plans for tomorrow, woot!....no their last name isn't the same as mine, this is my cousin on my moms side so different name good thing it would sound really odd lol
I hate to run, I try to like it, I vow to like it but it never pans out. I have a like brand new treadmill in my basement but I just can't stick with it, I prefer weight training over running any day but cardio is good for the soul, could someone please tell my soul that?
Hello! I've been gone 4 days and we're still talking about Amanda's poop. It's nice to know some things don't change.
Congrats on the little girl, Kim. When do you get to meet her?
Sounds like there are some lovely vacations being planned for the summer. I will be taking the kids to stay with my aunt and uncle who live downtown for two nights while DH is away next week. That may be as vacation-y as we get here.
I took the kids shopping for wedding gear this morning and it was a disaster. James had meltdown after meltdown and kept running off and Leah picked out the two ugliest dresses in her size and narrowed it down to one. We do not have the same sense of style at all. Oh well. I like my dress, even though she didn't approve.
Michelle, if the bump is brand new today, I'd wait a couple of days before going to the doctor. It is probably nothing to worry about.
