We can pretty much all agree that children are a miracle, but I know that I for sure tend to take it for granted sometimes. Then all of a sudden, one quiet moments I look at one of the kids and just go - wow, they sure are something special.

I had a moment like that this weekend with my oldest, I suspect there will be several of those moments in the next two weeks as we get ready for her 14th birthday. She was talking about something in math class and I thought to myself, "what an intelligent, well thought out thing to say".

Have you looked at your little one (or not so little one as the case may be) recently and marveled at something?

I asked her to say thank you when I gave her a cracker today and she said it in French. I was blown away. We've been teaching ds and she's been listening.

Actually yes, Jaxon's new fav word is UMBRELLA! Second fav word is Backpack.

I don't know if it's because I struggled so much to get Rayanne (tried for 16 months, then a MC then try for another 2 months) or because she had such a difficult time coming into this world (she was stuck and born flat/no heart beat) but I do marvel at her every single day. Most recently, that she could recongnize a picture of a puppy and call him puppy.
