I was just sitting here and dh went up to bed and then he came down and said "The princess needs you." (That's Amber's nickname.) So I went up, and there she was sleeping with her little naked butt up in the air, and she had pooped on the floor and peed on the bed. DH cleaned up the poop and I went and got diapers and stuff, but I'm so over this. None of my other kids ever went through this phase. Rock once took off his diaper and made a huge mess, it was once. Amber's done this more than once...UGH!

She tells me "Potty" cuz her brother's potty training, but I'm worried that I can't handle potty training them both right now and that I always say I want 4 months from the time I start til I need to finish (like I won't sign them up for Preschool or something if I don't have 4 months) cuz that's how long it took with dd#1 for me to feel 100% done on potty training (like accidents were over then and she was day and night time trained). And there aren't 4 months before the baby comes and I can't be committed to potty training when I've just given birth...so I'm frustrated cuz she's probably ready, but it isn't a good time for me!

Oh, diaper messes are awful! Maybe she won't need four months. Maybe you could try, and if after a few weeks it isn't really working out just cut your losses and try again later, after the baby comes?

Yeah, I keep telling myself I ought to. LJ's using the actual toilet and not the potty, but I have tried using the potty seat for Amber and also not using it but having her sit backwards (which LJ does), and both scare her, so if I want to I have to find the bottom of the potty, and I'm sort of not interested...ugh...slacker mom.

Ugh! I hate poopy messes! Have you tried putting her in a onesie + pants so that she has to go through 2 layers to get to her diaper? That's what I do with Ben.

Yup Ethan can take off anything we put him in. I pot a potty to go on ours and he likes to sit On it and wipe his pee pee lol but I haven't started anything yet with him since I have a 6 week old baby.

Yeah dh just went out and bought some Amber proof jammies so she won't do this anymore

I am so sorry about the poopy messes. Thankfully (knock on wood) Rayanne has not yet learned how to take her diaper off, but I'm sure my time is coming. How did the amber proof jammies do?

They worked pretty well. A couple times she's proved some things I thought were Amber proof, weren't, but we're doing better.
