when will my cycle return to normal or how long was it after a m/c did yours return

Please post your stories here ladies so we may help others asking the very same questions when they first join TTCAL!

There are some links on other threads within this forum with these answers, however it's really nice to hear all the different IRL experiences and take from that.... thanks!

I didn't have a mc, but my baby was stillborn at 22 weeks and 3 days....I got my first PP AF on November 16th (My baby was born October 14th), I think it was 5 weeks PP....My cycle was really long, 36 days I think, and I didn't ovulate till CD 24 or 25....I've only had one cycle, so i'm not sure when it's going to go back to normal, but I hope soon.

I had a m/c but ended up at the ER & had a D&C. I bled, after the D&C, for about 10 days & my next cycle started in about 5 wks post-D&C. My cycles never really became irregular after the m/c... they remained pretty regular, i.e. every 26-28 days. Here's my chart for the month of my m/c so you can kinda see what that cycle looked like... TCOYF.

I started spotting at 7 weeks (Oct 15), went to the er and had an ultra sound. Only saw a gest sac with no fetal pole (Blighted Ovum ) Had an appointment with my OB on Oct 19 and m/c'd during the exam. I had heavy to medium bleeding at that time and then stopped spotting/light flow a few days after.

15 days from the m/c my hCG levels were finally back to below 5. 2 days after that had my first af, it was very heavy and lots of clots. After that I O'ed on CD 8 (so I really O'ed 25 days after m/c and 10 days after my hCG levels were below 5)), that cycle was 20 days long.

The following cycle I O'ed on CD 13 and my cycle length was 26 days.

This current cycle looks like I will O in CD 13 or CD 14.

The cycle right after the m/c was confusing as in I'm not sure if the bleeding 17 days later was still part of the m/c or a new cycle.

I had my m/c at 7wks and 1 day on Oct 21st, I had a natural m/c and my levels were down to 2, 2 wks after. Then I had AF on Nov 20 and then my next AF Dec 18th. Not sure of when I O'd because I didn't check that until this month.

I was 13w3d when I had an ultrasound that showed no heartbeat. We did have a heartbeat 2 days before that. They did a D&C and 8 weeks later AF had still not arrived so them prescribed me medication to bring on AF. My cycles have been crazy ever since then and I have been diagnosed with PCOS.

i had a missed miscarriage (found out at my 11week scan) baby had grown to 8w5d. i started spotting around 8th November, had my D&C on 11th.. and got AF 28 days later

I naturally miscarried on December 17th, and my first AF showed up January 14th, exactly 28 days later. I have not had a second post m/c cycle yet, so I don't have any information as to how regular I will be going forward.

I'm wondering the same thing. I had D&C Nov 4th at 10 5/7 weeks (baby stopped growing at 6 weeks), then had AF 6 weeks after on Dec 18. My beta Dec 16th was still 16. AF was expected Jan 15, but still has not arrived. I'm waiting a couple more days until I test, but do not expect positive results. Pretty sure I O'd on CD 11, but I don't do OPKs. <shrug> I've never had such irregular periods before, and it's frustrating.

I really did not have a m/c but gave birth 20 week gestation baby. That was on Nov 4th, 09. I had some heavy bleading after that for about a week or so. On Dec 11, 09 AF showed 5w1d after that. The next AF showed up 27 days later. I O'd on CD 13. I have only had these two AFs so far.
