Have you ever 'taken in' a family member, who was going through a bit of a rough time?

at the moment, I have my cousin staying with me.. his g/f broke up with him last week, in a particularly cruel way, and the poor guy isn't coping well at all.. he can't spend the night at his house, because of all the reminders of her.. so he's been spending the nights at my house, for the last... 3 days. I don't mind at all, it's quite nice to have some company, to be honest!

Will he be around when the baby comes? Extra help for you!

Yes, we've taken in my BIL and SIL before.

No. My youngest sis was staying with us weekly for a few months but that was work related.

My husband took in his grandma when she needed care. Took care of her every need til she passed away.

We took in my mom and brother when they needed it for a very short time, 2 weeks I believe as my mom is a very independent woman. We also took in my MIL because she had no place to live but she preferred living in a shelter over living in with us. I promise there's nothing wrong with my home it's clean and everything.

No. My brother and his g/f did ask to move in but I flat out said no. Not only do we not have the room but they just wanted out of her parents place and can't rent because they can't afford it. My thoughts are if they can't afford to rent, then they can't afford to stay with me either.
