have any of you had to have 'the' talk with your kids yet?
when the time comes, do you think you'll accompany the talk with a book on puberty/sex?
I've not had to yet - obviously! But when the time comes, I will make sure I have a book available if either of the girls want to look at it, or read a bit more. My Mum had a book.. umm 'Every girl'?? & although she never gave it to me & said "here, read it" - she let me know where it was & that I was more than welcome to read it.. and I really appreciated that, saved a lot of embarassment for me, lol
I've had talks with my boys. When they ask questions, I answer them honestly. Jake had a little siminar in 5th grade about puberty and a boy's changing body. He got a book there and we've read it together.
