Hi all, I am pregnant with number 3, and we have decided we are DONE after this one, I want something pretty permanant.. and we do not have a lot of money, so im on medicaid, and medicaid will ONLY pay for a tubal if done right after giving birth strange I know, and significant other doesnt even have insurance and we cant pay out of pocket for him to have a V...I would get a long term IUD, but what if i have complications, and than i lose my oppurtunity to get my tubes tied

so me getting my tubes tied after birth is the best option, my dr said it will happen the day after i give birth, im just scared, does the procedure hurt? what about after pain? will i stay in hospital longer?

( i have read about post tubal complications, i just have to hope i wont have those problems)

any info you have will help, thanks all!!

I had my tubal done immediately after my c-section and didn't notice any extra pain or recovery time. Not sure how different recovery would be after a vaginal delivery, though.

I would tell u you should not get it done you can read my post s from the other day Ive had problems since, cyst on my ovary something in my uterus my dr don't know what it is she is going to get me in with an OB Doc and I have no idea what is going on ,
you have a high risk of having a tubal pregnancy and a high chance of hysterectomy. Just type in google whats not told about Tubal ligation.
Check all over the net you'll see it's not worth it.

I had my tubes tied when my youngest was 17 months, but it took me a year to get it done(took a long time to get in for the consult, and even longer to actually get it done).

It really was not that big of a deal and I've had no complications from it whatsoever.
