I don't like water, insects and heights.... (heights is a new one I recently found out!!!)

But, My three year old daughter has some phobias I would like to get rid of.... Insects.... Any insects. Yesterday we were outside. she had a bottle of water and a fly flew PAST her. the bottle flew at least 3 feet. I thought we had conqured this last summer and I have made sure they have no idea I don't like the creepy crawely monsters. But how to make her not afraid........ Any ideas?

My biggest phobia is bees. I think it's because I had a "traumatic" experience when I was 5 (a hornet flew up my dress and stung me about 3 or 4 times). I've been stung many times since then, and I know it hurts, but not too much to handle, but I still can't have a bee near me. I completely freak out.

I think de-sensitization might work. Perhaps start by getting her to look at pictures of insects, and then maybe get a few feet away from one, and then move closer, and so on. Eventually she might be so used to seeing them and being close to them that she won't care anymore. I'd better try that for myself on bees, huh?

I can't stand mayonnaise. The look and smell of it gives me the creeps!
