Basically you need to let him sit on his butt and do NOTHING for 2-3 days which was REALLY hard for me. He had some pain in his testicles for up to 4 weeks after it was done, but since then nothing. And if anything I think his sex drive is higher since he doesn't have to worry about me getting pregnant anymore.

My husband followed the 24 hour care instructions of ice every 20 minutes or so and used the supportive briefs they gave him and didn't do anything for the first day or so. But he had it done around 1pm on a Friday and by early Saturday afternoon he was out mowing the grass and rotating his tires. He was back to work on Monday and he was in the military so it wasn't a desk job. He easily walked 3 miles a day as he was in aviation and walked back and forth on the flight line a million times a day. He had almost no swelling, very little bruising and didn't take anything but motrin for pain and that was only the first day. He followed all of the aftercare instructions and did just fine. No sexual or side effects at all.
And he was negative sperm wise after 4 weeks. BUT MAKE SURE HE GOES IN TO HAVE THE SEMEN ANALYSIS DONE, that is the #1 reason why couples end up prego afterwards, they don't wait for the all clear before they stop using protection and/or they don't go in for the re-check.
