i have never posted here before, but tomorrow i am going to the dr for my 6 week pp checkup. I think I have postpartum depression, I took that test in the stickies and it said 13 and that i should talk to a dr.

i had already planned to mention it tomorrow, but i dont know what to say??

how can i let her know whats going on? i cant even describe to my dh how i feel how can i describe it to my dr??

I would just tell her the things that led you to look at the tests and such. Are you feeling down? Are you not wanting to do anything? Tell her that you looked online and suspect you might have PPD. Be completely honest about your feelings even if you feel crazy. Its the only way she can help you. I am very glad you are going to talk to her and get help. You will feel much better. and we are all here if you need us.

she prescribed zoloft, kind of explained what ppd is and told me there is nothing to be embarrased about, i guess she could sense my reluctance. she said it could take about 2 weeks for it to make a difference.

i really didnt want to be on meds, but at this point i just want to feel normal again...
