Exercise has really helped me. I have found some studies that suggest increasing your vitamin D can be helpful, so I have been taking a vitamin D supplement with my multivitamin too.
I have also been doing something called cognitive therapy and I find that to be very helpful. Here's the book I am reading and my therapy is based off of and I would recommend it to anyone (even someone who isn't depressed): Amazon.com: The Feeling Good Handbook (9780452281325): David D. Burns: Books
It has really helped me make some positive changes to my mood and attitude.
