If you have been diagnosed with PPD, who knows about it? are they supportive? Is there a reason why certain people dont know about it?

Honestly when I was diagnosed with PPD 17 months ago I was embarrassed to tell anyone I was under the impression that it was something I could control but I realized very quickly that I was wrong so we sat everyone down and explained to everyone what was going on. Thankfully everyone was supportive.

i am still in denial about my situation. I didnt tell my dh until 2 days after I started meds and I only just told my mom, I have told some online friends etc, but it is something i am very embarassed about
