Would you go to a support group?

My community nurse called back and told me that there is a small support group starting up in the next week or two. Last week I was all like "pfft, I got this" and I have totally ****** up this week.

I think I am calling the health unit today.

I was living in CA at the time. I never thought to seek out people going through what I went through. When I went through PPD after my first loss I was on JM and chatted with other ladies. I think a support group is a great idea.

I would love to go to one but i don't know of any in the area. It would be very helpful I think. I am signed up for a postpartum series of classes and one of the topics discussed will be postpartum emotions but I don't think it is specifically a ppd support group. I'm going to do a little research though and see if there are any depression support groups I can go to.

are there any programs in the area for right after the baby is born. This is how I found the one I am learning about. There is a nurse that comes to the community centre and weighs the baby and lets you meet other moms. I asked the nurse and she is setting it up.

A nurse is coming for a home visit this Thursday.

I didn't. but that's just not my style. I did have some therapy though.
