I was wondering if anyone has experienced this. It is a good day for me and I feel like I can trust you ladies with this problem. It is when you have a mental breakdown and lose touch with reality and think crazy thoughts and have thoughts of harming yourself or others. That is just the beginning of it. It goes much deeper that that, but it is too much to type out. Please let me know if or if you have not experienced this. Thank you.

No hun I have not. My depression never got so far as to hearing other thoughts in my head or thinking of hurting myself or the kids. If you are having thoughts like this you need to talk to a doctor asap. I have read a little on it after being diagnosed with PPD and there is help if you are experiencing this hun
I have gotten help for my illness and have been hospitalized 3 times for it. I was just looking for someone that I could relate to and maybe talk about it. Thank you anyways for the reply

I was borderline at this point at my 6wk PP appt. I had a small breakdown in the office when I had to discuss this with my doctor because I hadn't said anything to anyone at that point. Most of the time I wouldn't be thinking such horrible thoughts but I did have a couple of times that were really awful. If you need someone to talk to I am here.
I have been expereincing intrusive thoughts since nevan was 16 mo old... b4 that during my pregnancy and his first year it was all obsessing to do with his health and every possible thing that could go wrong... so it all started when i was pregnant with him.. but im doing a lot more obsessing over thoughts , and why i have them, and what they mean about myself as a person more than health worries for the past 9 mo, and its horrible.. i also obsess over wth is wrong with me... and want to get answers about what is going on with me mentally. just take good care of yourself as much as possible.
Thank you for all of the wonderful advice. I know how hard it is to suffer as I am sure you all know as well. I will do everything possible to beat this illness.

I am glad you are doing a little better. I understand the questioning yourself as a person/mom/wife and whether you will ever be yourself again. I try not to obsess over it but it is hard
(((Hugs))) chin up mama, you will get through this.
