My name is Christen, I just had my baby son on July 27th. So almost 6 weeks ago. I think the baby blues are officially postpartum. I was told by my doctor that after 2 weeks or so, the baby blues should be gone...and they're not. And also, I used to have a problem with hurting myself by cutting...that's come back with the depression.
I personally don't believe in "baby blues" I think that if you feel down or depressed at anytime post partum you are suffering from PPD. Just like with anything out there you can different levels of it. Slight, mild, and Sever.
Anyway welcome to the PPD board! We are all here for you use as a sounding board, and shoulders to cry on
hey sorry to see you feeling this way...i do hope you feel better soon though... not nice going through those feelings of depression.. or cutting.. i had a friend who would cut herself, she said she felt better by doing it...... but she scared herself...
take care of yourself and i hope you beat this soon..
