Ezekiel is named after two of his great grandfathers - Jacob is my husband's grandfather and Atwood is mine. Elijah was named after his grandfathers - Thomas for my side and Gerhard for dh's.

For Daniel, we just liked Elias and how it sounded with Daniel.
For Keelan, we chose my brother's middle name, David.
James is named after his father, so no choice there.
Sarah was a compromise. I wanted to name her Sarah Elizabeth and her father wanted to name her Kristen Michelle, so she ended up with Sarah Michelle.
I didn't have a choice with Will or Clayton, but Will has two middle names, Daniel Neely (after Neely and Neely's dad) and Clayton's middle name is Bear, which is his mother's brother's childhood nickname.

Madi is Madison Elizabeth. Elizabeth was my Gma and is also my middle name. Kyler is Michael after his Gpa and Dad.

Hayley is Hayley Joyce, which is my Mums middle name (Joyce) but it's what she gets called. Alyssa is Alyssa Jo, which is my cousins name, but she's not named after her, I just like the way it sounded. We all have middle names starting with J.

Abby's is Kimiyo which was my grandma's mn...she also went by Kay and by her English name, Lydia. She passed before Abs was born. And my mn is Kim so our mns are related a little even if mine is American and hers is Japanese.

Josh's is Kanji, and that was Brant's grandfather's name. Brant's mn is Kanichi, and that was his grandfather's (Kanji) father so those 2 names are related as well.

So yeah, we all have mn that start w/ K. It all worked out nicely. Had Josh been a girl we probably would've used one of Brant's grandmother's mn's and that was a Y, so she would've been the oddball of the family.

Adalyn's is Kate, short for Kathleen, my middle name.

Samantha's is Grace. I loved the name and it was between that and Jo. I looked them up and they meant the same thing. After I had to have an emergency c-section to have her and I had seen her, I knew she was Grace. Jeremy's was Charles, which is Chuck's name and his dad's name. Chelsey is Taylor. Chuck and his ex wife compromised. He picked Taylor.
