I have two books just waiting on the book shelf as well as a few new series on the tablet I have to read.. just cant get away! ROFL

On the actual bookshelf:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. (Read 14 pages and it was like pulling teeth...)
A House of Night Novella: Lenobia's Vow

New eBooks:

Read The Hunger Games over the past couple days: Better than I would have thought. Much better. Starting Catching Fire tonight, and based on reviews from GoodReads I'm kinda nervous...

out of all of the books in the trilogy, hunger games is the best. you should also read crossed...that's an awesome read.

i loaned my copy of the hunger games to 3 of my students and they all loved it. one is a boy who hates to read so that was really awesome that he enjoyed it so much!

i have like a zillon regular books and like 20 kindle books waiting for me to read them. i have promised myself no more buying kindle books till i cut down that number in like half...but i really need to read the other books as well!

I understand your needing to read what you have! I keep DLing more and more books I want to read (Currently on the hunt for a free copy of "Neverland.")

I put off Catching Fire until yesterday. Gotta say it's taking me a while to get into it. Usually I'm well passed 100 pages into a book the first time I pick it up. And After reading yesterday and a bit this morning, I'm only 58 pages in.

Gotta say that's pretty awesome to get a kid who doesn't usually read to read a trilogy!

don't give me that much credit. it's just the 1st book...i don't have the actual trilogy. i had to borrow #2 & #3 from a co-worker. but some of my kids have been reading the trilogy, and one girl loaned catching fire & mockingjay to another girl that i loaned hg to, so that was sweet of her.

i think the trilogy is in our scholastic book order again, so some of them may order that.

i started dark souls by paula morris in paperback and am reading linger by maggie stiefvater on my kf. i can't believe i'm actually reading 2 ya books right now...although i'm mainly reading linger...oh, and my march issue of redbook on my kf as well. haha. i just finished james patterson's the midnight club last night and it was really good. i don't think any of his books ever disappoint. one of these days i'll read his maximum ride series or at least the 1st book to see what the fuss is about.

ducks, how is catching fire coming along for you? have you gotten into it? i still think the 1st book in the trilogy was the best, then the 2nd, then the 3rd. just my humble opinion. i'd like to hear what you think.

I just got to the point where they were sitting around the tv and she found out she'd have to go back to the Arena. Not cool. This book is really pissing me off. LOL. I'm only a 3rd of the way in. I'm just not into it at all.

I keep hearing good things about James Patterson, but I tend to stay away from male authors from some odd reason, only sticking with Stephen King and Christopher Pike.

So...Dark Souls & Linger.... what are they about, too lazy to google, LOL.

Have you joined Good Reads yet, bc you totally should. I am loving being able to read friends thoughts on books and keep track of my progress, lol. Plus it gives recommendations based on what I've read, which I really, really like.

Linger is #2 in a werewolf ya trilogy. Really good. Dark souls is about a girl who can see spirits/ghosts but I have barely scratched the surface on it.

Have you read Poppy Z. Bright or brite books?

I will look into good reads one of these days!

Definitely adding Linger to my "books to read list" lol. Dark Souls was actually recommended to me on GoodReads this morning LOL. Definitely does not appeal to me. LOL. Never even heard of the last one.

I'll check those out after I read Mockingjay.

I finished Catching Fire last night. Once I got to the arena I flew through the rest. Again, not happy with the ending. I'm actually NOT looking forward to Mockingjay now, and after getting just 10 pages in, I have a feeling it will be the same as Catching Fire, reading wise...

The Host was really good. Took me a bit to get into it, but once I did, I loved it. I really should re-read it..

Oh, I forgot to say, re the girl with the dragon tattoo...it does take a while to get into. The Swedish names drove me batty till I got used to everything. But it is a great trilogy.

Methland is so heartbreaking but informative. And scary as hell. Just like when I read random family.
