I made end of the year goody bags for Abby's class. I included a little card saying Abby enjoyed first grade and my name and number if anyone wants to get together for a summer play date. I didn't tell her I was doing it because I don't want her to be upset if no one responds. Hopefully we'll get at least a couple though. Either way we are planning to get together with coworkers with kids who are the same age so she will at least have someone to play with outside of her Summer program.

It doesn't really appear so. Our obnoxious next door neighbors hve a boy a few months younger, but I never see him out. And I don't want her over there because they party hard if you know what I mean.

Well...we got a call on Sunday night. She was supposed to play with her friend Taylor on Monday but then plans changed. But her dad had my number (and I taught two of his siblings...how weird is that) so hopefully something will pan out later. At least abby wasn't too disappointed. But we had to stop by her other friend's house today to return a shirt abby accidentally came home with. Her friend is abroad with her mom and sister right now but dad was home so we were talking to him and dad digested maybe the girls can go to the beach or something later. Of course A won't be home till the letter part of summer and they are flying standby because they got flight privileges from a friend who works at the airlines. But we shall see. At any rate we have been busy and summer school starts on Monday so she is doing just fine.
