Have any of you who are experiencing morning sickness been prescribed anything to take for it by your doctor? Has it worked?
I am going on two weeks of suffering here and I don't see my doctor for two more weeks. Is there anything they can prescribe to help with the nausea? I have only thrown up a couple of times, but this has been over this weekend so I'm afraid it is going to get worse before it gets better.
Thanks,
Kylie

My midwife gave me b6 with our daughter but they didnt give me anything until I was still sick after 20 weeks. They recommended trying ginger ale and the seabands you wear for sea sickness. I hope you are feeling better soon.
I didn't get prescribed anything but I tried those preggo pops and they worked a little, they took the edge off but they had a tacky taste to them for me,
I love the preggy pops lol... A few times my dr has given phenergan and its amazing but thats only for the days that I couldnt even get my head off the pillow when i was pregnant with my daughter!
I take Zofran everyday every 8 hours for the whole 9 months, but I suffer with extreme hymperemisis. I am only 5 weeks right now, and will be getting my Zofran prescription this week. I dont usually start throwing up until 6-7 weeks. Zofran is a miracle drug for me.
With my first pregnancy I took Unisom (the OTC sleeping medication) at night. I don't know how this helps but it did wonders on me for taking away the nauseousness.
I've been taking the B6/Unisom 1/2 tablet combo at night and it seems to really help. I still have mild nausea periodically during the day (mostly if I go too long without eating), but not nearly as bad and it goes away after I eat.
I did the unisom/b6 in the beginning with my first pregnancy. But all that did was make me sleep. I had zofran and phenagrin in pill form and supplements. Zofran doesn't work for me And only phenagrin shots in the rear completely take it away..but again it makes me pass out. I'm doomed no matter what. Zofran will take the edge off but I still vomit several times a day.
Here's a tip though, chew your food a lot when you can eat. I have choked before throwing up and thought I was just going to die right there haha.
I found something at a natural foods store called "Mommy's Bliss Morning Sickness Magic". It's basically just a B6/ginger supplement. Seems to help me a bit.
Ok, question for you Zofran people. Does it make you constipated? I have a Zofran prescription and I am trying SO hard not to take it because it made me constipated when I was preg with DD, but I was constipated that whole pregnancy so maybe the zofran didn't make it any worse than it would have been?

OMG the Zofran made me SO constipated it was insane!! Horrible horrible horrible! I am going to ask my dr if miralax is safe to take while pg, I think it is, but I need to verify that, and if it is, I am going to take it everyday while on Zofran (havent needed to start yet, not sick yet) in hopes it will help with the extreme constipation.
