I literally JUST told my parents about this baby! Am I the worst daughter ever? I've been putting it off telling everybody (to the point where my boss asked me if I was pregnant before I told her!) It's amazing how fast time flies when you're procrastinating about something. The last 11 weeks since we found out have FLOWN!!!

LOL! That's funny about your boss...I guess some secrets are bound to be found out, given enough time!

How'd your parents take the news? What about your boss? I know that you've been stressing out about telling your boss the news...

I couldn't wait that long either. How did your parents react?

Yes, you are. And so am I...

I put off telling my folks until about 12 weeks, because they are never happy for us anyway. It's a drag telling my family b/c I know I'm going to get "the lecture" about my age (geez, I'm only 33), my health, we should get "fixed", blah, blah... And then they get hurt that I don't want to tell them. Oh, and I didn't tell my boss until I heard the rumor was out in the neighborhood (we live in a very small town) and I was afraid she'd find out from somebody else... That was only about 3 weeks ago.

Well, I hope your parents are happy for you, and don't feel bad for not telling them right away... it is your news to share when and how you want to share it!

I waited until 15 weeks too!! My family was so surprised because I NEVER keep secrets from them! But my first ultrasound was iffy and that scared my husband and I after our previous loss so we decided to "wait-and-see" before telling anyone...and our goal was the standard 12 weeks. Well, I had scheduled a visit with them (they live across the country) at 15 weeks so by then I just wanted to surprise them in person.

My boss was cool! She said "So I noticed your little belly" and then went into a conversation about how her kids were close together as well and blah blah blah. Didn't seem to care that I've just returned from maternity leave and will be leaving again in 6months. That was nice, and took a lot of pressure off! My parents...blah...they didn't say anything negative but they weren't excited either. Same as with Noah. They love Noah but I think they (my mum especially) had other plans for me and is a little dissapointed. Whatever.

I think you are so smart for waiting this long. I wish i had been so smart! It seems like the minute i told people i was preggars, there ceased to be anything else to talk about. Not only that, but it became open season on commenting on my body changes. Next time, I will wait for sure!
