For the past few months I have been seeing a nurse practitioner in my doctors office. My next appointment is going to be with my OB, whom I had for both of my children! I'm so excited! I love him! I see him on March 2nd.

My ultrasound is scheduled for March 5th and we will be able to find out the gender at that time, providing he/she is cooperative! I was told to drink all this water about an hour before my appointment. That should be interesting considering the ultrasound is at 8:15am! I'll have to get up at like 6am just to start drinking the water!

That's great! I just booked my u/s appt and they told me that I don't have to drink the typical 32 oz. of water. I remember I did last time with Jacob and by the time I got to the office I literally almost peed myself my bladder was so full.

Yeah I wouldn't have to if I was 20 weeks or more....I will be 2 days shy of 19 weeks

What's odd is that when I had my first ultrasound done at 11 weeks, I drank the water and was BURSTING....and then I was told by the doctor that I didn't have to drink the water. This was done in another building down the street from my family doctor and my OB.

This time, I am getting it done in the same building as my family doctor and OB, and was told to drink the water.

So what the heck is the difference between places?? Unless the other place has newer high tech ones or something?

I would drink some water before you leave your house, and sip on a bottle of water while you wait. 32 oz is ridiculous lol.
