where about's are you picking up the heartbeat? For the past couple days it's been in the exact same spot, which is leading me to believe that I'm possibly picking up the heartbeat through the placenta or the umbilical cord. It's low, right above my pubic hair line and I'm thinking at this week it should be higher, no? One day earlier this week though I found it off to the left and up higher than that so I don't know. I just think it's strange that it would be in the exact same spot for a couple days. Where are you finding the heartbeat at?

I'm taking a break for a few days from trying to find it..........I am just not convinced I am finding it all. I am a little "fluffy" though so maybe that's why I'm having a hard time.

I've found that it is often in the same spot...but then it will move...then it will be back right where it was before. But there is no mistaking baby's heartbeat with your own - it should be twice as fast and sound like quick thumps or a horse galloping. At this stage, the baby is getting more active but it's also getting bigger so there are increasingly fewer places to "hide".

yeah I know it's the babys because of how fast it is, I'm just curious as to whether I'm picking it up from the baby or through the placenta or the cord. I'll ask my midwife next time even though I'm sending the doppler back soon. Thanks!

I just bought a doppler so I will get to try in the next few days hopefully!
