I should be packing, but I'm so very tired tonight.
Wrapping up at work, knowing that I'll be out of the studio for almost a week is such an anxiety filled trauma for me.
I love, love my job - and hate leaving it... even when it's for my job. Ha!
I leave tomorrow to head to the big city where I'll board a plane & fly to Jamaica for a wedding on Tuesday. So excited. She's a ridiculously gorgeous bride with a rockin' chill attitude.
And I just know the week will be filled with all kinds of surprises
(Luckily they did warn me about the groom's hopes of jumping off a cliff at Rick's Cafe hahhah)
So hopefully in the 5 days that I'm there I will take some time to bask in the 9o degree weather with my bloated (uber buoyant) belly shining in all it's pasty white glory
I'm not sure how much I'll be on in the next few days, but I will be sure to post a s'up as I get the chance

Awesome, have fun!! I am actually heading to Jamaica in three weeks. We are going to Runaway Bay. Where are you going?
My mom told me to be cautious about going in the ocean when I am pregnant as I could get an infection. Have you heard anything about this? I tried to find info on the computer today but it just said risk of infection when going in stagnant water, such as in a pond.
Have a great trip!!

Yeppers Christie - I am a wedding photographer.
(a very lucky wedding photographer)
We are nationwide so while I'm normally within the Carolinas I've been anywhere from New York to Nevada & even France for work.
...yes, it's an alright gig
Kylie - I'll be at Couples in Negril.
I haven't ever heard of any kind of infection/pregnancy issues with the ocean.
We actually live 5 minutes from the beach here on the east coast of the US.
I have spent every summer in the water for the last 9 years
...including thru the pregnancy of my daughter?
Have fun while you're there - how nifty would that be to have been there at the same time?
Me from down here & you from up there, 'eh?

We have the same (awesome) job! Hubby and I were just in Jamaica shooting a wedding a few months ago. We stayed in Negril, too ... right next door to Rick's Cafe (which is ridiculously overpriced, by the way.)
I wasn't preggers yet, and actually got talked into jumping off a (very very very narrow) bridge into the ocean. HOLY CRAPPSKIES, was it scary and amazing at the same time. The water felt sooooo good! I could have stayed there a month.
One of the bridesmaids from my Jamaica wedding is getting married there at the end of June and hired me FIRST THING when she got engaged. I was the first person she called and then planned the rest of the wedding around when I could be there. How AWFUL did I feel when I had to email her and tell her I couldn't make it Ughhh. It was SUCH a bummer! She was really understanding, though.
Do you have a blog? I'll have to check out your Jamaica pics! Here's my blog post from when we were there (includes a picture of the bridge we jumped off!) : Heather and Jesse { in Jamaica! } Sarah Q Blog | Austin Wedding Photographer | Austin Family Photographer
Anyway, have a BLAST! I hope you get to stay a while!

Sounds wonderful right about now while I'm sitting in our 0 degree weather! Have a great time! My mom's been to Jamaica and sings its praises VERY often! We've been to The Bahamas. I guess that's pretty similar, right?

Have a great time... tell the groom to definately make the jump! Me and my husband did that on our honeymoon at Ricks (both the tall and short cliffs)- I did the tall one twice and bursted my eardrums the 2nd time couldn't just leave well enough alone I guess. Still... would do it again. Have a great time!

Hysterical visual on the title Make sure you wear TONS O Sunscreen. Preggo ladies are bigtime burn targets! My mom roasted like a lobster when expecting my lil sis and had to stay off her feet for 10 days. That was after 3hrs in Monterey, CA sun (cloudy and 70s).
Can't wait to hear about your favorite virgin cocktails

I love Jamaica. We went there for a family vacation for 2 weeks just after Christmas. My inlaws have a house there that we stayed at. I cant wait to go again
We stayed near Black river. I think its about 1 hr 45mins away from Mo Bay.
We went to Dunns river falls, YS falls, A beautiful beach in Negril, little ochi, ocho rios, the black river crocodile tour, bamboo ave, lovers leap, treasure beach, and some local stops too.
We stopped often to get patties at juici patty. Soooo good.
( ignore my spelling tonight....lol)

The only infection I know of with the ocean is if there's red tide, you can get respiratory infections. (Don't even know if they get it in Jamaica. I know we get it in Florida and they warn to keep children, pregnant women, and elderly people away.) Hope you have a fun and safe trip!!
