Well was she gracious at her sweet 16 at least? You couldn't have controlled how long she wore it. As long as you didn't shell out for dress #2. It would've been nice to know her plan in advance, though I'm sure. I wonder if it felt anticlimactic for your goddaughter.

Well ... at least you know not to buy her expensive, important things anymore. Like you said, it's over! And you can be thankful that she's not *your* daughter and that you'll raise your children to be more gracious and thankful for what they have/receive.
