I've been fighting a nasty cold and called my doctor to ask the same question, she said NO. It dries up your mucus, as in ALL your mucus that you need to keep. I've been using a Neti Pot and that has helped with relief. Hope it helps for you.

It's not on my "safe" list of meds, so I wouldnt take it with out calling your DR for approval first.

I asked about it after I had Bella and was nursing. They told me no. I just dealt with it. :-(

Ya I don't think it is safe. My doc said only tylenol...like that helps When I had a bad cold I would take a washcloth wet it, put it in the microwave for like 20 seconds and then put it over my nose and mouth and breathe in. It helped so much. I also used that saline spray in my nose. Not as good as mucinex, but safe. Hope you feel better soon

I would also suggest saline spray. Actually, I use that stuff regularly (a couple of times a week) and it has completely cut back the number of colds I have gotten.
