It went just perfect...except I couldnt stop throwing up ugh. I still havent gained any weight im actually down 3 pounds from when I started. eh thats what happens when you cant eat or drink. So my midwife does the usual vitals and urine check...then she goes to find babies heartbeat (this always scares me) and this little baby is a stinker!!! She could hear the baby kicking and moving but as soon as she would get close to getting the heartbeat it would squirm away to the other side. She tried to find the heartbeat for at least 5 minutes..I was laughing. She finally had to have another lady come in and pin the baby down (they squished my stomach to hold the baby in one spot) then put the doppler on my belly. FINALLY we got a good heartbeat of 150!! Im so happy I cant even stand it. My MW was saying this baby was a stinker and a turkey I think I am giong to have my hands full heheh...anyways thanks for reading my rambles

I'm so glad they found the heartbeat, very good news!! Sorry to hear you're still having trouble keeping food down, though. I had a really tough time as well and lost alot of weight (when I couldn't really afford to in the first place). After the first tri, any moment I felt I would be able to hold something down I would eat...particularly protein shakes (100% natural oats and whey from GNC) with a banana and whole milk blended together. I was able to quickly gain 10 pounds within a few weeks. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the nausea subsides soon!!

Hope your m/s comes to an end soon... doesn't sound fun. I had a similar experience when i was around the same week as you, it must have taken the nurse at least 10 minutes to get the heartbeat I don't know if it was just the nurse not knowing what she was doing or my baby being stubborn, but it was kind of funny. All the other times they found it pretty fast so who knows.

It's great that your appointment went well. I had to laugh at your baby moving all around when trying to get the heartbeat b/c mine did the same thing at my last appointment so I can totally relate.
