I have had a sinus headache since Friday. I have tried everything under hte sun that I can while pregnant, I have tried sudafed, tylonol, and the neti pot and nothing is working. I ended up calling in to work today. There is no way I can care for other people when I feel so bad. My head is so full when I bend over it hurts. I gave in and finally called my OB I hope she will call some antibiotics in for me. This was the last thing I wanted was to have to take medicine, but I dint think I have a choice if I want to start functioning noramally again.
Any one else having problems with sinuses????

Not nearly that bad. Just stuffy or runny and really dry in the morning to where if I blow my nose first thing, it's all blood. Ew. DH suggested I wait a while, so I did and sure enough, no blood. I haven't had 100% clear sinuses for months. I'm so sorry your sinuses are messed up. I hope it goes away.

I'm sorry you are so stuffed up. I know sinus infections are pretty common during pregnancy. I've been really stuffed up for a few weeks and have been waking up with terrible headaches, it sucks. Have you tried putting a humidifier in your room at night? That is about all I can think of besides what you have already done.

My sinuses have been pretty bad this pregnancy and I've had a ton of sinus headaches. I had to get something phoned in for the headaches myself. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I was on antibiotics for a really bad sinus infection not too long ago and thankfully they did the trick. I hope you feel better soon.

I had one bout of it back in December and have been battling it this week too. DS and I both have really bad allergies (we've been lounging around the house in pjs the last 2 days) and every time they flare up I end up having sinus troubles too. I did end up taking antibiotics for it when I was pg with him, I felt bad about it but it was a last resort and he turned out fine. I hope you are feeling better soon!

YES!! It sucks too. What type of Sudafed are you taking? I take the ones that you have to get behind the counter (little red pills). Not the PE kind. That seemed to kick the last one I had. I also have a heat pack that you put in the microwave to heat up. I would put that on my face for a while. I could feel my sinuses draining after that. But you might be far enough along in it that you might need the meds. I totally understand not wanting to take anything. I had a UTI at the beginning and really didn't want to take it, but knew I had to.

I hope you feel better soon

I've had some pretty bad sinus headaches these last few months (although I normally get them anyway) but a humidifier and the neti pot usually works for me. If nothing is working, antibiotics are probably the way to go. These headaches can be debilitating. Hugs.
