Oh my goodness. I can tell baby is growing because I am just hungry! And I can eat and then I'm still hungry. I'm trying hard to eat healthy, but when you get hungry like this you just start wanting to eat anything in site.

lol, I was just about to post about my appetite/hunger decreasing to the point I have to force myself to eat! Strange, isn't it, how different women are? I've had the appetite you describe in other pregnancies and it is so hard to not eat anything and everything, especially the yummy food that is not so good for us.

Same here! As soon as the morning sickness went away, it was like I was eating breakfast 1, breakfast 2, lunch, lunch 2, snack, dinner, and snack 2....
I love food once again!

Oddly enough, it was more during my first trimester when I could pack away some food. Right now it seems like I'm always hungry but I just can't eat. When I do, I can only manage a small portion of what a normal pre-pregnancy meal would be. More often than not it comes back up. The major stress from my recent relationship issues may be having an impact on my appetite, but I'm trying as hard as I can to force food down and stay hydrated. But man, oh man do I wanna eat and eat some more!

`Um, YES!!! I had a regular dr's appt yesterday and according to that I'm still at my pre-preg weight. (had an ob appt and according to THAT I've gained 1 lb...whatev) I honestly was confused. The past few weeks I've been so hungry. Snack, dinner, snack, then ice cream. Whatever though.

I have noticed I'm more hungry than usual lately. I was really trying to do well to, and then the Girl Scouts talked DH into buying several boxes of their cookies...
Arrrrgh! They keep calling my name in the middle of the night & it's driving me crazy!

I can tell that my eating habits have changed, because I was only up 2 lbs until I hit about halfway, and in the last week I am up at least 5 from my original weight. i try to weigh myself in the morning before i eat, but today it was the afternoon and i was fully clothed and had a full belly and i was up SEVEN pounds. SEVEN!!! I took two off for clothing and fully belly though

I definitely have more of an appetite now. The first 15 or 16 weeks I didn't want to eat anything and now my appetite is slowly growing. However, I still have periods of not desiring any food at all. Like last night...it was 8:30 before I realized I hadn't eaten since about 1:00pm. I know that's not good but with DH gone I'm not really cooking dinner.

I am hungry all the time! I have already gained 12lbs at my last appointment (I think). So I don't need to be gaining a ton!

I'm glad to see that a few other people are like me, and the hunger is actually decreasing!
I didn't have any morning sickness or food aversions during 1st trimester, and felt more hungry then. Lately, I have to eat regularly (otherwise I feel terrible), but I'm often feeling full after only 1/2 the plate. And I'm someone who always finishes the full plate! It's weird.
I read that having a big appetite is often a sign that the baby is a boy... so we'll see... My boyfriend is really hoping for a girl, so he'd be thrilled if my non-appetite turns out to mean that a girl is on the way...

Man I was going to post today that I am having the opposite and it seems so weird. Nothing really sounds good to eat and I'm not really hungry any more.
My DH is getting upset that I don't want anything for dinner lately because he still wants to eat and wants me to eat healthy for the baby. I've just been having a lot of cereal lately as its all that sounds good. Or if I have a decent lunch I won't want dinner.
The last few weeks have been like this, its good to see that I am not alone in this boat.

During the day I don't really have an appetite but after the sun goes down I get major munchies so I have to watch it.

I am very hungry and since I still have the yucky, gaggy morning sickness feeling, if I don't eat I feel sick. I'll eat a huge breakfast- 2 eggs, cheese, ham on an English muffin, big bowl of Cocoa Wheat, and fruit. Then not long after wards I'm hungry again. And it's like that all day. I started drinking some natural protein powder in a big glass of milk and that kinda helps for a little while. And since I got cocoa flavored, it's a healthier version of the chocolate milk I've been craving. lol..I've gone through so much organic chocolate milk it's not even funny. And it's almost $5 a half gallon. I can't help it though, if I don't buy it I can't stop thinking about it. And it has to be the organic one. The syrup stuff just won't cut it. Baby is picky. hehe...
