That I bought about a month ago thinking "I won't fit into this until I'm at least 8 months along". And it totally fits. They aren't joking about "popping"!

I do have a maternity clothes purchase regret though...I was SOOO excited to get maternity jeans because my pants were getting so tight. Well, the problem is, the band wasn't tight/strong enough to stay up on its own so I was constantly pulling my jeans up. And even worse than that, I would stand and walk a certain way so they wouldn't slip down and I think that was causing my HORRIBLE back pain I complained about awhile ago. I mean, I'm stiff and in pain anyway from the pregnancy but it seems like when I wear those pants its so much worse.

The good news is, my "bigger" jeans that I was wearing until they got to tight...now fit me again. My uterus seemed to move up and I'm not carrying as low as I initially was, so they fit under my belly. I'm hoping these jeans do the trick until the end of the pregnancy or I might just move into wearing long dresses. But I feel kinda bad because my maternity jeans weren't cheap. I"m going to keep them in case I do grow into them or maybe I can use them for my second pregnancy. Still, buyer's remorse!

I'm just lurking on this board (I'm in the August DDC) but I read your post, and I wanted to ask if you'd tried a Be Band? I got one at Target. There's also a kind called Bella Band that's similar.

It's a wide elastic-y band that you can put over jeans to hold them up. You can use it for non-maternity clothes (so you can leave them unbuttoned, and the band will cover the opening and hold up the jeans), or you can use it with maternity pants that are too big.

I just started using one & love it!

Hi!!

LOL the funny thing is, I DID buy a Be Band! But I haven't worn it or even tried it yet. Its still in the package. I should try it out tonight. Its been sitting on the floor of my closet just because I've been wearing the same jeans on a daily basis, but that would definitely improve my wardrobe choices for sure

I haven't had good luck with my maternity jeans. The demi-panel ones got too tight really quickly, and the full panel ones always start sagging by the end of the day. I bought some maternity overalls at Walmart, and they are awesome! The waist is loose, but the straps keep them up. However, I work from home most days and they are definitely not office wear.

Ugh, the maternity pant nightmare. I have found one pair that I actually love. They are a pair from Old navy with just an elastic waist. The ones with the navy band, they just feel too tight on my stomach. So I wear a uniform all week but the weekend I seem to find myself wearing the one pair of pants every weekend! And shirts I bought at the beginning, size medium, are starting to get snug. Probably because my boobs are humongous!
