I LOVE IT! That's the way I feel about it. It stresses me out thinking about people being in there. I don't want anyone to come to the hospital till she is here!

With my son, my MIL and hubby were in the room. I chose my MIL b/c this was her first grandchild.
With my daughter, it was my mom, sister and husband. My mom really wanted to be there b/c she has been there for my sisters' deliveries and didn't want to be excluded out of mine.
This time, I want it to be just me and dh since she is our last.

Just DH. Mom & Dad will be watching my dds. I would not be comfortable with anyone else in the room -- even my Mom who I am super close to. It just seems like a very private moment for me an hubby -- and all the medical personnel...lol.

Planned: DH & my daughter, she will be 12 in Aug. But I really don't care, since I work in EMS, I will welcome any students, EMS or otherwise. Since this will be my 4th delivery, it really doesnt bother me.

It will only be my DH in there with me, because i am having a C section. But if I wasnt it would only be my DH anyways.. its to personal for me to have anyone else in there.

Well so far it's looking like I'll just have one of my best friends in there. I might ask my dad to come and bring my son for a bit during labor, but definitely not for the delivery part.

Just DF and the midwife and maybe her assistant. I'm not into having the world and his wife there, its a special moment. We were the ones that created him so we should be the only ones there for his arrival. I don't mind if MIL pops in before things have got going properly with the boys but thats it

I don't really care but can you request that just the Dr be in the room for those who want it private? Cause at my last delivery there where probably 6 nurses etc + Dr. Hardly intimate IMO That's probably why it doesn't bother me there are so many strangers might as well let the close family members be there too...

Anyone else not really want medical personnel there? I'm trying for a natural birth and would prefer that they didn't interfere.
Med students are fine. In fact it would be good for them to see a natural birth (you don't really get to see that in most med schools).
(I'm having the birth in the hospital just in case there are complications - like uncontrolled bleeding or genuine fetal distress.)

It will be DH, our midwife, our doula, and depending on when Sophie decides to come it could also include my best friend Kelsea and my mother.
(If Sophie comes over a week early, my best friend wouldn't be there since she's not flying in until the 28th of June---my parents are flying in on July 9th, so it's possible if I go LATE they would be here)
