This is interesting to me as I thought this early (22 weeks) the baby would still be turning around and moving, but they already know he is breech? He won't turn on his own over the next few months?? I learned something new! I thought our babies were still so small they were moving around and changing positions inside us...but maybe it is just the kicking we feel and not changing position?

My DD was breech at 20 weeks with a cord wrapped, and then she went from full breech to frank breech with her head AND feet up, and bottom down. So yea...they still turn but sometimes not the way they should...lol..she was Frank breech starting around 30 weeks until delevery, so normal breech from 20-30weeks.

Wow, that is neat, thanks for the info!! I guess they will be able to see how mine is doing at the next ultrasound (to check her cord location). I guess baby is growing so much I forget how big she is (compared to the blueberry from only a couple months ago!)

I'm also another schedule c-sectioner! With DS I had 4th degree tearing even though he's consistently had a head circ in the 20th percentile. Since DH's family tends to have really big babies (9 or 10 pounders) my ob-gyn is very concerned that I might tear worse & end up w/ rectal incontinence. Definitely not something I want to deal w/ on top of having a toddler & newborn. Additionally, I still feel uncomfortable pressure when DH & I DTD & worry that I'm going to tear open. I told my ob-gyn that even if we go ahead w/ a vaginal birth it'll all be in my head & I'm afraid I won't want to push for fear of tearing. So, yeah, going to do the c-section, probably a week before my due date (we're setting the date at my appt. in April). The only way I'll go vaginal is if I'm several weeks early & certain that DD is nice & tiny.

they are still turning and moving at this point. my midwife checked the position of the baby at my last appointment but said it was for 'my amusement only'. they've got heaps of time and space to move!

It should be noted though that this doesn't happen all the time. My baby was breach until 36 weeks when she turned. They can turn IN labor even so it is never a guarantee that they won't turn. Also spinningbabies.com has some awesome and helpful tips on getting a baby to flip. I have done many of those exercises to help my baby flip and they helped with the last one.
