Seems there are a few of us who are a planned c-section
Who else besides me gets a planned c-section? I already have my day of July 20th. Subject to change, but thats the day I pick! Unless Ty decides on his own to come sooner LOL.

I have yet to talk about dates. Actually since I'm switching doctors in the near future- I won't talk about dates until then. (Switching because I lost my health insurance when COBRA expired and I work for a Small business that doesn't have group health insurance- Private insurance considers pregnancy a pre-exisiting condition)
My first c-section was horrible because I got an infection (MRSA), the second was a cake. I was up and moving in no time. I hope to have the same experience this time too!!

I'm having one, but we haven't talked dates yet at all. I have a heart condition, and I'm also a rape survivor.. so giving birth vaginally is really, seriously scary and panic inducing for me. I can't even have a pelvic exam without taking some valium.

C-section here too, because my hospital doesn't allow V-BACs. I don't have a date scheduled though. The recovery from my c-section sucked and my nurse was a legalized drug-pusher, urging me to mix my Percocet and Ibuprofen to "feel gooood".

I'm having another c-section too. My hospital doesn't do VBACs. We haven't scheduled it yet. I am completely terrified because the first one was horrible! The recovery was so much worse than I expected. Once my spinal wore off, I didn't have any pain meds at all for the 3 days in the hospital, until they sent me home with vicodin. I assumed there were pain meds in the IV, but there weren't! Apparently I had to ask for them...no one told me that. This time around, I will be asking for them right away!

I will just mark me as a scheduled c-section as well. My doc gave me the go ahead to try a vaginal birth this time IF the baby is around 5 1/5 lb and presented correctly. I do not see that happening. No talk of dates yet.
Shamile, I have heard, and experienced first hand, that the second c-section is easier to "handle" than the first. For me, it wasn't nearly as bad recovering like it was with my first son.

I think I'm having a c-section. I've had 2 before and the last was very emergency. I'm not sure I'm a candidate at all for a VBA2C. I'd like to if I could. But my doctor doesn't want me to go past 38 weeks, so we'll see. I don't think I'll make it there.
I had no issues with my c-sections though. But I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that I was in ICU for a few days after both deliveries and knocked out after the second one. Plus I was simply thinking about my babies. The first one was so sick and in the NICU and the second had just died so I wasn't really thinking about any pain in myself. I didn't ever have any pain med than the stuff they gave me to knock me out for the few days in the ICU after the second baby and Ibuprophren.

I will be having another c-section. I highly recommend getting the belly bandit to use as soon as you have your surgery. It will help tremedously with recovery and will help eliminate the pooch you get after a c-section. And overall helps you get back to your normal size.

Me! I had an awesome experience with my first csection, I was up walking and showering the day of it and home the next day. My doctor is trying to push a VBAC but the baby will probably be breech again anyway (irregular uterus) plus it feels like I'd be jinxing myself to go for a vbac when Noah's birth went so smoothly. I wont get a date until 32 weeks.

I hope that will be the case for me. Maybe I just cant deal with pain. But i hope it will go alot smoother this time around!

I am planning VBAC, but the baby is breech so I may end up with a c-sec if we cannot turn him.

I'm having one.
I had an emerg. with Braxton. My dr gave me the option of a VBAC but said if I chose to have a planned one with Kaden the rest would be c sec. as well. I chose c sec. with Kaden because I didn't want to go through another vaginal birth like I had with Brax. (His heart rate dropped to 60bpm. and I was stuck at 6-7CM for 4 hours.)

Me too, I am glad to have a planned date! Just hoping little one doesnt decide to come early. I will probably deliver around July 12 since they usually do them a week early
