Thought we'd do a fun survey. Made up totally by yours truly lol!
DELIVERY:
C-Section or Vaginal (not a choice, obviously lol, just a wish!)?
Natural or Epidural?
Home or Hospital?
Midwife or Ob-Gyn?
Baby cleaned up or put on your belly first?
Baby rooming in or staying in the nursery?
Stay in hospital as long as possible or go home as soon as possible (if hospital birth)?
PARENTING (first few months):
Co-sleeping/crib/or bassinet?
Breast or Formula?
Cloth or Disposable diapers?
Scheduling feedings or feeding on demand?
Baby-wearing or no?
Self-soothing or attachment?
Pacifier or no pacifier?
I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch but I'm making this up quickly between check ups with the boss lol!
DELIVERY:
C-Section or Vaginal (not a choice, obviously lol, just a wish!)? Vaginal
Natural or Epidural? Epidural
Home or Hospital? Hospital
Midwife or Ob-Gyn? Ob-gyn
Baby cleaned up or put on your belly first? Put on belly first, before the cord is cut
Baby rooming in or staying in the nursery? Rooming in
Stay in hospital as long as possible or go home as soon as possible (if hospital birth)? In between, I like 1-2 days to recover without having to move about and pack up. But I hated the 5 day stay with my son an 8 day stay with my daughter due to their jaundice, I thought I'd NEVER get to go home!
PARENTING (first few months):
Co-sleeping/crib/or bassinet? Co-sleeping
Breast or Formula? Breast, I'll be pumping after 6 weeks though so he'll still get breastmilk but in the bottle during the day
Cloth or Disposable diapers? Disposable
Scheduling feedings or feeding on demand? Feeding on demand, but will have to scedule him during the day once I start back at 6 weeks pp, so I know how much to pump
Baby-wearing or no? Definitely baby-wearing, I rarely put them down lol!
Self-soothing or attachment? Attachment, self-soothing is fine for when they get older IMO
Pacifier or no pacifier? Prefer no pacifier while nursing. My son was attached to one until age 2, my daughter has one too (she calls it her you). So I guess it's unavoidable lol!

Baby cleaned up or put on your belly first? Hmm...cleaned up? Depends if he's okay or not too.
Baby rooming in or staying in the nursery? Rooming if possible
Stay in hospital as long as possible or go home as soon as possible (if hospital birth)? I'd like to get some rest but I really don't like being the patient in a hospital so stay as long as needed then get out!

Baby rooming in or staying in the nursery? rooming in more than likely. She may stay in the nursery a little but it depends on my labor and if dh wants to keep an eye on her when I nap. if hes not to tired. I went in the hopsital with dd at 12 and had her at 439am so we were exhausted.

Baby cleaned up or put on your belly first? Don't care. Ethan had to be whisked away because of a bowel movement during L&D
Baby rooming in or staying in the nursery? Both
Stay in hospital as long as possible or go home as soon as possible (if hospital birth)? Get me home!
PARENTING (first few months):
Co-sleeping/crib/or bassinet? Bassinet then crib once I'm feeling better & DH goes back to work.
Breast or Formula? Breast
Cloth or Disposable diapers? Disposable
Scheduling feedings or feeding on demand? Combo
Baby-wearing or no? Probably more this time... I only have so many arms!
Self-soothing or attachment? Depends on baby. Ethan was colicy, so I held him a lot. If the baby is happy, then I'll let her learn to fall asleep on her own. Note... there is a big difference between CIO & self-soothing.
Pacifier or no pacifier? Hahaha... I said NONE with Ethan, but on a 4 hour car ride, I gave him one & he still won't give it up. We'll see with this one. I certainly ate my words plenty with Ethan, so I'm adopting a "depends on the baby" attitude with this one.
