We have to put down our kitten today My husband is devastated. We got him 2 months ago and we didnt find out how sick he was until we took him to the vet. We spent hundreds of dollars on him for medications and taking care of him 24/7. He got better.. and now took a turn for the worse.. he can barely walk, falls everywhere and is losing weight rapidly, he is skin and bones. I just know being a vet technician its the best for him.. my husband will be in the room but i will not. I have seen to many and assisted with too many to watch it be my own cat. I know this is for the best.. so I am more ok with it than my DH.. this is his first time.. Today will be a very sad day for this family...

I'm so sorry to hear this. I have 2 cats and they are like my kids to me. Love them dearly...sometimes though, you know it's the right thing to do even though it's so hard.

I'm so sorry to hear about your little kitten. I know how hard it is to put down a loved pet. I'm very close to my cats and definitely understand. HUGS to you all!

Im so sorry. I had to that with my 1yr old cat a few years ago. It was the hardest thing we had to do. Darwin was in the room to be with her but I just couldnt be there. i gave her one last hug and kiss and gave her to darwin. i dont want to have to do that again. do you know what he had? Sassy had FIP they said.

When we first took him to the vet.. he right away tested positive for Feline Luekemia. Which is not fixable. He also had Hookworms, Roundworms, Ringworms. We spent so much money on him.. got rid of all the ear infections and parasites, he was doing good. Well about 2 weeks ago, he started acting like he is drunk, cant stand, he looks like a bobble head. He is losing weight rapidly!! we just cant afford it with the baby on the way.. its just too much.

Honey, I am so sorry you're having to go through this today . It's so hard losing a pet, and add in all the extra hormones we have right now.. it's awful. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys.. let me know if you need anything.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. We had to put our cat down last year because he had kidney failure. DH couldn't be there, so I had to be there in the room. They let me hold his paw and pet him as they gave him the medicine. Just before he was gone, I told him I loved him and he was purring and quietly meowed. I know he is in kitty heaven playing with all the other kitties. It was so hard and I'll never forget it or him. Hang in there. At least you were willing to give him a chance at life! He'll be forever grateful to you and your DH.
