So I looked up online and there is a name for my pubic bone pain. Symphis Pelvis Dysfunction. Its when the pregnancy hormones cause the pelvis to become misaligned and cause pain. Sometimes it can create problems for delivery including having a baby be malpositioned for birth. Great. But right now I have pain in my pubic bone when I lift a leg, go up the stairs, bend down, squat, etc. All the stuff a mom of 2 HAS to do. And I am having pain in my left inside hip. Like a nerve is being pinched to the point where my leg goes part way numb. This is quite painful and I have never had this with my other pregnancies. Ugh!

I have the same exact thing! I didn't know what it was called. I told my nurse about the pain but she never gave a name! It hurts when I lift my right leg. Also all through the night when I want to change positions, it hurts. Do you feel better in the morning, after it has rested? At this point especially if I have strained it during the day, I am not waddling, I am walking like a zombie. Just kind of drag swinging my leg forward, I am sure it is a sight, but I don't care! lol. Also around the house I start to look like my 3 year old who has to use the bathroom, because I find when I hold myself and put pressure on my pubic bone, it doesn't hurt as much when I walk.

My nurse said I could look into physical therapy and also getting a support belt...we'll see. It is most likely to get worse though. We should keep in touch if we find anyway to improve or relieve the pain. Good luck!

Yeah, look it up. Its physical therapy or a chiropractor that help it. And yes it is better in the morning when it has rested. And the first thing I do in the morning is a whole set of pelvic tilts it makes it feel so much better through out the day. But yes by night I am dying! What I read is a support belt CAN help, but for some women it can make it worse. I want to get it corrected so my baby will have a good birth position. It says sometimes they can get stuck on the pubic bone if it continues untreated, but arching your back during pushing can help too.

OMG....I have the same problem on my left side. It started very early on. I didn't know what it was. I thought it had something to do with my sciatic nerve. Mine also feels better in the morning, but hurts like h3LL at night or when I walk around a lot. I am glad I am not crazy and alone..

It is so painful! I had it for the first time during my 3rd pregnancy. My midwife recommended seeing a chiropractor when I switched to her during my 4th pregnancy and I wish I would have done it with prior pregnancies - it helps SO much.

Sometimes I have pelvic bone pain but it is not a consistant thing. BUT every single time I try to change positions when I'm sleeping, I hurt so bad! I have to try and go slowly and hold myself kinda. It's horrible.

I hope you ladies are able to find some relief!

I am going to look into seeing a chiropractor, one that specializes in pregnant women and the webster technique. I hope it helps, because my midwife said it will only get worse, great!

I got it when I had DS -an epidural and 3 hours of pushing- then the other day we were playing and I re-injured that whole area. I ordered a support belt and am also going to get a referral for a chiropractor because this is AWFUL!
