I ended up ripping my toenail off this morning.

Well not the whole thing but I have half a nail on my left foot now. It hurt like heck. OMG!

It was bad enough that one of my 10 y/o boys refused to look at it

Yikes, that makes me cringe just thinking about it! My brother ripped off his entire nail when we were kids once and boy did it look bad. I hope your heal quickly.

YIKES!!!! I agree, that made me cringe, only because i know how painful it is!! UGHHH I hope you feel better soon and it heals fast for you!!!
