I posted earlier this week about how i started having palpitations. I was just going to wait it out until my next appointment (the 30th) but i think i'm going to call on Monday. Most of them are still just harmless flip flopping but sometimes they are scary.

My heart will start to race and i have to stop and check and make sure i am breathing because i feel like i've been holding my breath for too long or i'm really winded. I usually have to sit down and and catch my breath. They last anywhere from 5-15 minutes and my pulse is usually in the 130's. I guess if they are lasting that long they probably aren't considered palpitations anymore

Anyway, its not the high heart rate that bothers me, its the not being able to catch my breath feeling that is unnerving.

Bahumbug!

I would definitely call. Anyway you could be anemic? That could cause you to feel short of breath too.

I'm glad you're calling. I agree that anemia could cause shortness of breath as can blood pressure issues and a few other things. I hope it's nothing major. KUP!

I think you should call to so they can run the necessary tests or refer you to a cardiologist. I am having similar problems and the nurse told me that is probably what my doctor may do when she checks me. I pray it is nothing major with you, so sorry. : (
