Well good news and bad news. I am still at the hospital. I made hubby bring me the laptop. I started contracting yesterday (3rd day in a row) and went to get checked out. They were picking contractions up every few minutes on the monitor so they gave me a Breathane shot and Cardene, then did a fetal fibronectin test, which came back POSITIVE. So they decided to keep me and put me in a room (ironically the exact same room I gave birth to my daughter in).
Contractions are more crampy and very little on the monitor but they are giving me Cardene every 6 hours, and I got another shot of Breathane at 3am and aagain now just at 9am because contractions are picking up again.
The very good news: Caleb's heartbeat has been really strong when we check it. He's very active, he's NOT head down, and my cervix was closed during my check last night. That's the most relieving. The contractions have not started to dialate me.
I'm not sure what is going to happen at this point, they gave me a shot of Bethacorticosteroids or something in the hip for his lungs to mature at 10:30 last night and I have to get one in the left hip at 10:30 this morning. I have yet to see the doctor. Not sure if I'll be put on bedrest, have to go to work, or what. Just please keep us in your prayers because it could go either way..I'm feeling a lot more positive this morning. Last night I was imagining all the awfulness of having a baby in the NICU and not sure he's going to survive..they say white baby boys are the weakest with the smallest survival rate of all genders/races. So it wouldn't look good for him giving birth at 25 weeks. I gave him a pep talk though and told him to stay in there!

So sorry you're going through this. I'm glad to hear you're not dilated though. Hopefully you can keep him baking as long as possible. I'm sending lots of T&P your way.

I wonder if you shouldn't stay away from work- all that stress cannot be good. Take care of yourself

So glad to hear from you. Looks lik you are almost 26 weeks...every week he can stay in there will be good. I bet they put you onbedrest. Driving an hour each way to work and working 8 hrs would not be ideal, in my opinion! Hopefully your dr will feel the same. i hope they are able to totally stop those contractions.

Great to hear from you and so glad you are still pregnant. Every day you stay pregnant now is brilliant. They reckon if Iris had been born just a week later she probably would have survived, she was born at 24w1d. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers

Glad to hear that Caleb is still doing well in your tummy!! The longer you can stay pregnant, the better. The less you can do, the better chance you have! Hope those contractions stop and SOON!
The stats on white baby boys in the NICU don't sound wonderful, but trust me when I say many many white baby boys born very early make it home, healthy and happy a few months later. Not the ideal circumstance at all, but hopeful nonetheless.

We've been thinking and praying for you too. Happy you have some good news. Let the details work themselves out..work, no work...etc etc. You and the health of your baby are #1, no doubt. Do all you can do for yourself, no worries. Now is the time to lean on family and friends. Blessings for your family.

Thank you for posting.
I came in today specifically looking for your update.
I hate that you are stuck in the hospital, but at least everything sounds hopeful.
With the contractions not dilating you this is very much a good thing!!!
Good boy, Caleb.
It's March - it's still cold out anyway... stay in the warm
