If you saw your favorite baby name starting to pop up everywhere would you still use it or would you come up with something different?

i dont think i would, i dont usually like popular names so if a name suddenly started coming up everywhere, i think i would get sick of it and not love it anymore

It would depend how popular it was becoming. I may consider it for a middle name though.
Gage was pretty much unheard of around here when I had my oldest but now I hear it more. Still not as often though.

Probably, I'm not so big on trendy names.

I was faced with this exact dilemma if we had a girl. My absolute favorite girl name (and still is) for as long as I can remember is Olivia. When I think of having a daughter, her name is Olivia Annabella. But it's sooooo popular now. I was so torn, because I don't like really trendy names but this is my name. Luckily, I don't have to worry about until the next one.

Depends. I will have this problem if this baby is a girl because I love the names Alivia and Sophia but both are super popular. DH really likes Alivia too. So, we might go with it because we both love it.

I probably would not, although my son's name was the #1 of 2007 wtg DH in choosing a name lol. That being said though if it was a name we absolutely loved then we would probably consider it.

it depends on how long you have loved the name. I loved my daughter's name since I was 8 years old, so I didn't care WHO had her name or how many people had it, I was going to use it.

I wouldn't, but DH would, he always picks the more popular names.

I would still use it. That's what happened with my youngest. Isabelle just all of a sudden started popping up left right and center, but we still went with it.

I wouldn't use it...I LOVE the name Kenzingtyn, but I've hear a lot of girls with this name lately so it was scratched off the list, my name is unique (Kisty pronounced Kiss-T) and I want my kids names to be unique, when I was pg with Brecken, I hadn't heard the name at all, now that he's here I've heard two others with the name, but still when we tell most people they are like I've never heard of that, this one boy or girl will have a name that isn't common either...I want to be able to call for them at a park and not have 20 kiddos turn around lol but that is just me and I do love some common names, just wouldn't use them for my kids.
