I'm going to go for it this time

I used cloth with my first daughter Beth for about a year. Then we moved from Florida to Connecticut and had her baby brother when she was 14 months old. I switched to disposables then and never looked back! Little Carrie wore disposables too. I never got rid of the cloth diapers though. I went through my box today and I couldn't believe how many I had! 37 in all...and most are the nice kind. Plus the doublers, cloth wipes, plastic pants, the whole nine yards. I'm going to get them ready for Katy to use. Beth and Matt are of course potty trained, and Carrie will be 2 1/2 and hopefully close to done when Katy is born, so I think I can deal one in cloth diapers. And they are very cute1

Yay! I've been sewing homemade pocket diapers- have 4 done so far, and they're so homely, but I'm so proud! I figure as long as they hold the poop and pee, then I'm good to go.
This is definitely a project to take slow and steady, sitting in one spot for long periods of time is uncomfortable and I'm in a lot of pain. All of the sites I've read recommend at least 18 newborn diapers (with 20-30 being best) so I got a lot of work ahead of me... Hubby has offered to learn how to make them and help

I have a huge stash of cloth just waiting for the new baby. Reid has outgrown his diapers and he's pretty close to potty training so I am not buying bigger ones. I have a mix of prefolds, AIOs and pockets and can't wait to use the teeny tiny ones again!
