So I'm now 37 weeks with twins....and this morning at 8am I had a Dr apt. Just a very quick little check no blood etc...not painful...I have never had any bleeding with any cervical check in my past 3 pregnancies....so afterwards was doing shopping etc. At about 11 am...went to bathroom...wiped some blood...then noticed half my pantliner had blood stained mucas on it. The thing is I 'm STILL bleeding...its now 7pm. I called my midwife she didn't seem concerned at all...but how long should this continue before I call her again?? I mean should I be bleeding ALL DAY>???? I 'm having Braxton Hicks all day...some cramping, lots of pelvic pressure, and some back ache....what do you girls think?

I think only SPOTTING is normal. BLEEDING is not. I'd call again and express my concern AGAIN.

Pretty much any bleeding would have me concerned.

The bloody show I had with my daughter was bright red and filled up a pad, but I stopped bleeding after a few minutes. I agree that since you are still bleeding you should get checked out, if your midwife isn't concerned, I'd just go straight to L&D. Let us know how it goes

Sounds like early labor, keep an eye out for other signs. Good luck

I would compare the bleeding to the end of your period with mucas....does that make it less concerning??

I would call again. Spotting would be normal but I wouldn't think that anything like a period would be... Keep us posted!

I bleed every time I had a check with my last pregnancy but was told if the bleeding lasts more then 6 hours to call as it should taper off. I would call if you are still actually bleeding, not just spotting. They said I could spot for a few days but not actual bleeding for more then 6 hours. Hope that makes sense.

Well the bleeding pretty much has tapered off now...more brownish tinged mucas...I 'm thinking it had to be my bloody show now. My midwife is coming over tomorrow to do a stretch and sweep again...so we'll see if anything changed...I'm not going to get my hopes up though...I'm 19 days away from my 40 week due date (and I'm having twins!!)...I would likely stay pregnant for 42 weeks if they let me get that far.

I had the tiniest amt of spotting last night and then nothing since, so I think Im fine but it sounds like for you, that was bloody show and labor will be starting for you within 24 hrs

I sure hope your right...I'm measuring 54 !! I'm about ready to have a break down...I'm dreading night time because I know I can't sleep anymore, but I'm still exhausted....I would much rather be at the hospital in pain!!!
