Has anyone ever had to get a hemorrhoid removed after labor/delivery? I had a few when I was pregnant but they would come and go. I have a TERRIBLE one after my labor (not suprising considering I pushed for 4 hours). This initially got better the first 2 weeks because I was laying around and unable to walk because of my tailbone problems. But now, I'm up and moving and have started walking everyday and it's bad again. It hurts me so much after I go to the bathroom and also hurts after I walk.

I have heard you sometimes have to get these "fixed"? What do they do? That totally freaks me out but I'm kinda in a bit of pain. I can't imagine sitting all day at work with this. At least at home, I can lay down and recline a lot.

I honestly do not know how they remove them. Good luck with it though. I had one during pregnancy but it went away on its own. I feel for you, mine wasn't that bad.

They've come up with a new way of removing these without surgery. The surgical removal was awful as far as the recovery period. They can remove them now at an office visit using an electrical zap for lack of a better word : ) It's suppose to be pain free! After your labor and delivery I think you deserve something painless!

I had one when I was pregnant this time that the dr talked about removing. It eventually went down enough though. But supposedly he was going to be able to do it in the office. So I would just call and get it looked at.

I haven't yet, but will probably once I'm done having kids. My butt gets in terrible shape during pregnancy, and has only gotten worse with each kid.

I don't know the answer to your question but just wanted to say I'm going through the same thing. I also pushed a long time (Juliana was sunny side up) and am getting one nasty, itchy, bleeding hemorrhoid. It's not even that big but still manages to be really annoying.
